Successful Route Addition
What a day! There were a number of items on the agenda for this current GPS logging trip and checking out this track was a primary goal. The result was a very successful and enjoyable day on the bike, albeit requiring some serious bike wrestling and bucket loads of sweat!
It's a narrow, technical bush track over private land and leads to some respectable fishing, albeit long walks between each fish. It is a challenging ride and easily ranked as a grade 5, but not only is the challenging riding great, the spectacular destination makes you instantly forget your aching muscles…

Cracking day, cracking track

One of the slippery, boldery creek crossings

The DRZ400 is not a big bike, but on this track it felt big and took a lot of wrestling in the undulating slippery terrain plus keeping the panniers free from the numerous obstacles on the side of the track

There were a handful of small makeshift bridges, the penalty for getting it wrong mean a bike up to the panniers in a bog. Luckily, I avoided that =)

Coming out at the camping flats by the river

And the grand finale, a stunning West Coast river
