Nelson Rigg - Dual Sport Saddlebags review by harty7

I had settled on these bags over the Giant Loop sausage type as I didn't like having something hitting me in the bum or preventing me in getting my weight back in harder terrain... well it has kind of worked..first impressions when I got them were they are sooo much smaller than what I had imagined from the photos..(my fault, not a misrepresentation).

The fitting instructions are clear and concise,(with YouTube video too) the brackets don't fit perfectly with the KTM rear mudguards and may require some thinking to keep it on over prolonged rough terrain.

On the first shake-down ride with them lightly loaded, it took only 50kms for the strap on the exhaust side to melt through...not really acceptable...at some point if your product is using straps to fit a multitude of bikes you are going to encounter close proximity to hot exhausts/headers...there needs to be a heat-proof sleeve or barrier to fix this.

Overall while I was dissappointed with how big they are, they are really good for short day rides to take the weight off your back and they don't impede your movement on the bike at all, you don't know they are there!
