Luxe - Mini Peak II review by Happyratcliff

Luxe Mini Peak II tent
I have used my Luxe Mini Peak tent over the last 2 years for adventure motorcycle camping in a wide range of conditions. Winter camping in a hore frost, West coast rain and hot Central Otago summers. It has become my favourite tent for a number of reasons. It’s very light and compact, easy to pitch, extremely roomy for one person and It’s waterproof! It can be pitched with the purpose designed extending pole (which I use) a walking pole or even a cut stick and it can be pitched using a ridge line worth no pole required. The seperate sleeping room is sandfly proof, has room to spare for a full size sleeping mat and the floor has been waterproof so far. It’s pyramid design is very roomy and you are able to cook inside in shitty weather (being careful with venting for Co2 and FIRE) and store all your gear, boots etc. dry inside. Cons pyramid design makes it difficult to reach the door zip, and half the tent is the ground you pitched on as the sleeping room only covers 1/2 the floor (I carry an army poncho to use as an extra ground sheet, shelter fly and to keep dry packing in the rain)
Finally, it’s my favourite two person tent!
