Impromptu West Coast Ride
With all the work required for the RemoteMoto website makeover, flat-out busy would be an understatement. Because of the long list of items to address I hadnt planned any trips in October/November however a couple of opportunities popped up mid-week that changed that.
One was with Paul from Motomox to have a look up the top end of a West Coast track. This track was on the hit list as a possible destination for the riding and fly fishing RemoteMoto guided trips. The second was an email from John, a good sort from up the top of the South Island who had a ride planned close by on the West Coast. In spite of the workload I loaded up the bike and hit the road. It was a cracking weekend and Im so glad I was on the bike seat and not the computer chair.
Day one
Day one saw me hook up with Paul and 6 other riders. A good bunch of fellas that made for a humours and thoroughly enjoyable day of riding. I was unmistakably the odd one out on a heavy adventure kitted DRZ400 amongst a fleet of 2 stroke enduro bikes. I did however manage to hold my own in the technical terrain, albeit 10 litres of sweat later!

Day two
Day one was thoroughly enjoyable and while those lads were off to ride the Maruia trail ride on the Sunday, I was off to meet up with John and his crew. There were four new faces to meet and again, all top blokes that made for a great day.
