High Country Ride, Camp and Fish

I’d recently setup my sister’s Kawasaki Sherpa with a new luggage system so with the weekend’s weather forecast looking fairly tidy, it was a perfect opportunity to go for a debut run.

Last weeks fierce weather front dressed the valley in white leaving with it a noticeable chill in the air

Playing puddle hooligans!
After riding to the end of the road with Paul, Dan and Stefan and them heading off, Kylie and I made camp and set off with the rods

Overnight it dropped well below zero and didn't even begin warming up until about 8 a.m. A quick morning flick before packing up camp and setting off home
Stopping for a quick bite to eat and watching big browns swinging and feeding. This section of the river is closed until opening season, it's almost as though this trout knew that and was taunting us!
Another reliable run on the DRZ400
One last photo of some great scenery before hitting the tarmac and heading home
